Announcing begining of Cheesecake Photoblog Software V2.0

After a gap of some weeks we are again starting active development of our Cheesecake Photoblog Software into Version 2.0 - Version 1.x has been fairly successful and is right in middle of top 10 downloaded software at Cakeforge. Version 2.0 will use the latest and greatest version of CakePHP 1.2 and try to exploit the new features which have been introduced in the framework. Some of the new features planned are

• Multilingual with easy to translate .po files
• Image sets - allowing users to put images into sets
• RSS feeds for site, site comments, individual photo comments, individual tag or a combination of tags
• Better Month Calendar
• Sidebar Widgets
• Last but not least much better code organization

Regretfully themes have remained a weak point with the previous release and looks like it will continue to be as we have not received any help from anyone for designing new themes but I am hopeful that some time in future this will change
